In the Erlang C Model the system is designed around the queuing theory. The caller makes ONE call and is held in a queue until answered. The Erlang C Model is commonly used for conservative Automatic Call Distributor (ACD) system design to determine the number of answer agents needed. It can also be used to determine bandwidth needs on data transmission circuits.
