In the Erlang B Model blocked calls are rerouted and never return to the original trunk group. The caller makes only ONE attempt to place the call. If the call is blocked it is immediately rerouted. The Erlang B Model is commonly used for first-attempt trunk groups where you don’t need to consider retry rates because callers are overflowed to another trunk group or where you expect very little blockage.
