In the Binomial Model, blocked calls are held until a circuit becomes available similar to the Poisson model except that there are a LIMITED NUMBER OF SOURCES. The caller makes only ONE attempt to place the call and blocked calls are lost forever. The Binomial Model is used in applications such as final trunk groups between a small PBX or between a remote switch and a central office.
